Android Nexus S Zips Up to 1.2GHz

No doubt once CES 2011 kicks off in Las Vegas later in the week there will be a hoard of Android devices being unveiled and some could well kick the latest Android handset from the Google guys, the Google Nexus S off it’s perch, but before that happens the smartphone hackers have been at play with the Nexus S.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Zach Epstein those operating system tampering guys over at XDA-developers have been playing around with the Google Nexus S and has successfully overclocked the device’s Hummingbird 1GHz processor to 1.2GHz.

Thus for those who simp0ly must tamper with their smartphone innards for the sake of speed, if you wish to try to bump your Google Nexus S handset to 1.2GHz you can do so by following the instructions on the XDA website.

However of course with that tampering you will probably void your warranty and if anything should go wrong you are left up the creak without a paddle so you do so at your own risk…any takers?
