Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Heading for Verizon

As you probably already know the PlayStation phone, now known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will be introduced on the 13th of this month a day before Mobile World Congress 2011 kicks off in Barcelona, and as the device hasn’t yet been formally introduced we don’t know which carrier will offer the device.

However according to an article over on the Boy Genius Report, by way of the guys over at Phone Arena, it appears online dealer Wirefly has found out which US carrier the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will be headed for.

According to a comparison between the Apple iPhone and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Wirefly claims that the PlayStation phone is headed for the Big Red network.

So if true it looks like the Verizon faithful have a big choice to make on whether to snap up the new Verizon iPhone or opt to purchase the first PlayStation phone gaming device running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Having said that, the 13th is just a few days away so it won’t be too long before this is confirmed as fact or not, but if it is true will you choose the Verizon iPhone or the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play?

    Noooooo!!!

Darn I thought this phone was gonna be for some other carrier. I stopped considering it… Now I have to research between the thunderbolt and this phone. Grrr! Things easier not knowing sometimes.
