HTC Thunderbolt February Release Date Revealed

There have been a few rumoured release dates for the Android 2.2 Froyo packing HTC Thunderbolt smartphone, but most have come and gone and still no signs of this new Android headset coming out to play; however that may have just been rectified.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report, they have heard from their sources (unnamed of course) that the HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE device release date is now set for Thursday the 24th of February.

Apparently February the 24th will see the HTC Thunderbolt released to both Verizon Wireless and Best Buy, although their sources couldn’t speculate on the reason for the delay of the release.

The HTC Thunderbolt is of course the only Verizon handset that allows the user to talk over 3G whilst using data simultaneously, and packs a 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, 8-megapixel auto-focus camera and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.

And while you wait for the 24th to come round, we have an unboxing and demonstration video of the HTC Thunderbolt for your viewing pleasure below courtesy of YouTube user Ahart814, so feel free to check it out…enjoy.

I was talking to Verizon about a problem I was having and that I wanted to upgrade to the Thunderbolt. They will be calling me back on Feb 24 so I can place an order.

Verizon has really screwed up the release of this phone. The made twitter posts hyping the phone and saying that it will be ready earlier than anticipated and then….nothing. Now it looks like they have no idea when it will be released. Morons. Makes AT&T and the HTC Inspire look all that more enticing.

They take their time to make good products. just because their schedule doesnt adhere to your schedule doesn't mean you have to be a little bitch and wine about it.
