HTC Trophy Same As Thunderbolt Possibly Delayed

Seems like smartphones destined for Verizon from HTC keep on getting delayed as evidenced with the HTC Thunderbolt, and now it looks like the HTC Trophy, the first Windows Phone 7 handset for Verizon is also taking a tip out of the HTC Thunderbolt books by being delayed.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report, the guys over at WPCentral have come up with a few details on the HTC Trophy, which include that the Windows Phone 7 handset will indeed be a world phone with CDMA and GSM radios.

However previous reports have stated that the HTC Trophy for Verizon would see release sometime this month, although the release date wasn’t confirmed. But according to the WPCentral article it would appear that the HTC Trophy might not make an appearance until sometime in June.

Although they aren’t sure how much stock to put in the claim of a June release by an unnamed Verizon rep that is “involved with the phone,” so it could all be just a rumour.

But if true, it looks like Windows Phone 7 wont be playing nice on Verizon for some considerable time yet, a bit like the 4G enabled HTC Thunderbolt.

Verizon is really having some problems releasing phones on their new LTE network. T-bolt delay, Win 7 delay, I bet anything that the Moto Bionic will get delayed…move on people, Verizon is starting to be a bigger let-down then ATT.

I don't know why everyone is so worked up on 4G phones. There has never been a release date posted for 4G phones for AT@T or VERIZON.There 4G service isnt up to par yet.VERIZON jumped the gun at CES and so did AT@T for even talking about 4G service.Hate to break the news to you guys, but none of the cell companys have true 4G.

I am with you on this Brandon.. I will switch to Sprint and get the windows 7 phone from them.. Verizon has been slow to release every phone that is decent-to great.. IT is a shame.. Plus the fact they plan on charging people more for data packages, meaning no longer will have unlimited for 30 dollars. They suggest a tier of 30-50 dollars, and no unlimited.. So I will have to pay more for LESS! It is too bad TMOBILE's service is non existent in my neck of the woods or I would be with them.. Verizon.. Get your sh*# together.
