How would you like to keep in touch with family and friends around the world for free?

Well HeyWire (the mobile messaging app/service), which enables owners of Android and iOS devices to text for less, is now available as a Facebook app and may hold the solution to keeping in touch with family and friends for free.

If you are a Facebook user, you can by using HeyWire send and receive unlimited texts to/from your family and friends using a real phone number. Obviously, when texting conversations these will follow the user from the HeyWire Facebook app to their smartphone/tablet PC and vice versa.

As posted by the guys at IntoMobile, 20 Facebook Credits a month, will give Facebook users one U.S. phone number that from within Facebook will give unlimited texting to any mobile phone in China, USA, Canada and Mexico. But even more great news is that if you are texting with another HeyWire user, then the text is free, no matter where the other person lives.
