Samsung Droid Charge: Best Buy Taking Orders

The release of the Samsung Droid Charge as you are probably aware was delayed due to an outage problem with the Verizon 4G LTE network, and thus far Verizon has not confirmed a new release date for the new Android 4G smartphone.

However apparently that doesn’t stop Best Buy from selling the handset as according to Gizmo Crunch, by way of Nexus404, a member of Android Forums called Moondrius claims he walked into a Best Buy store to purchase a placeholder Thunderbolt until the Droid Charge was released and received a surprise.

Apparently that surprise was the Best Buy guy pulled out a Samsung Droid Charge and sold it to him, and the word is the purchase Samsung Droid Charge was pre-installed with a 32GB card.

So although Best Buy isn’t supposed to be selling the Samsung Droid Charge just yet it would appear some Best Buy stores will indeed sell you the device.

So whose up for hitting their local Best Buy outlet to see if they can pick up the Samsung Droid Charge, and of course if you do and are successful feel free to shout about it in our comments area below.

I was in best buy in San Rafael, CA on 5/3, and they had a whole cabinet full of Droid Charges, ready to sell.
They said they have had them since 5/1, and had not sold even one yet (probably because no one knows that
they are available). Lot of misinformation about its' availability

Were they being displayed and available for sale or, siting in the cabinets waiting for Verizon to give the official okay that they can be released?

I bought mine at the Best Buy in The Woodlands, Tx on May 4th. They activated it with no problems, but when the guy ran my card for payment a big red "Do Not Sell" sign came across his screen. After a quick call to the reps they let me keep the phone (as it was already activated), but he was told not to sell any more.
