New Sony Ericsson Phones: CK15i and ST18i Revealed

For anyone out there that likes Sony Ericsson mobile devices, there has been a leak revealing two new handsets: the ST18i and CK15i.

The device codenamed the Sony Ericsson ST18i “Asuza” could be Sony Ericsson’s replacement to the Xperia X8, which looks similar in appearance to that of the new XPERIA mini. Indications are that the ST18i will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and have a 3.3-inch display.

The ST18i comes with two cameras — front and rear — with the one on the back coming with an LED flash. On the inside is thought to be an unspecified ARM Cortex A8 processor; this smartphone is believed to be a mid-range device, for customers wanting a display that is in between the Xperia mini’s small display and the larger display of the Arc. There is also an indication that Sony Ericsson may include their new Facebook Inside XPERIA system.

An official release for the ST18i could be as early as this month, although this has obviously not been confirmed yet and is thus, only a speculation. The CK15i a touchscreen/QWERTY handset, is rumoured to be launched as the Sony Ericsson ‘txt pro’ and come with a slide-out keyboard like that of the new XPERIA mini pro. The handset also appears to have a 3.3-inch — 240×400 pixels touchscreen.

News of the leaked devices comes our way from Esato via SEMCblog 1 and 2, and by way of the guys at Android Community. So please give us your views on these two new devices, below.
