Android Honeycomb Tablets Can Do Gingerbread UI: Video

Apparently the word is Android Honeycomb tablets have Android 2.3 Gingerbread hidden within their depths, and said tablets can run Gingerbread with a simple adjustment to the screen density, and we have video evidence of that for your viewing consideration below.

According to the Boy Genius Report, by way of Engadget, and the guys over at Pocketables the video footage comes by way of YouTube user Graffix0214 and shows how to enable the Gingerbread UI on a rooted Android 3.1 Honeycomb Dell Streak 7.

The word is by simple changing a single line that tricks the tablet into believing the screen density is 170 rather than 160 and than rebooting the Android tablet the user is presented with the Gingerbread layout playing nice on your tablet.

Anyway, head on down and mash that play button to check out the Dell Streak 7 running Honeycomb hidden Gingerbread, and of course if you do try this out on your rooted tablet feel free to let us know how you get on…enjoy.
