Apple iPad Safari Blocked From NYPost.com, iOS App Required

If you have thus far been keeping up with your daily news from NYPost.com on your Apple iPad, as from the 18th of this month you will have noticed that iPad Safari can no longer access the website, and that is because safari has now blocked and users that want to continue accessing need to purchase the New York Post iOS app.

According to the guys over at 9to5 Mac, those Apple iPad user who try to access the New York Post from their iOS tablet will be greeted with a link to the application along with and explanation that states…

“Thanks for coming! NYPOST.com editorial content is now only accessible on the iPad through the New York Post App. If you are a current New York Post App subscriber, please visit the App Store and download the latest version to access NYPOST.com through the INDEX. If you are not a current New York Post App user and would like to subscribe, please download from theApp Store. Thank you.”

The New York Post app for the Apple iPad can be downloaded at a cost of $1.99 from iTunes, although users will be required to subscribe to the service, which costs $6.99 for a month, or 6 months for $39.99, or annually at $79.99.

So there you go if you wish to continue viewing NYPost articles it’s going to cost you a pretty penny to do so, any of our Apple iPad toting readers going to be purchasing the app and subscription?
