Skype has been quite a success story in the past on both the desktop and mobile space, with Skype coming to the iPhone, Android and other smartphone platforms, but thus far Skype hasn’t made it onto the iOS tablet; however that is soon to change as Skype is coming to the Apple iPad 2 quite soon.

How do we know this? Well a video has now hit the net showing off Skype on the Apple iPad 2, and we have they video for your viewing consideration below courtesy of the guys over a TUAW and by way of the iSpazio YouTube page.

Unfortunately the video footage of Skype for iPad lacks any commentary, and is in fact a completely silent video so you’ll just have to make do with the just over a minute visual, but gives you an idea of what to expect.

So basically a Skype iOS app wil be coming for the Apple iPad 2 at some point in the not too distant future, and as soon as we hear that the iPad app is available on the App Store we will of course let you know, until then hit that play button and check out the Skype for iPad promo footage…enjoy.
