It appears that the new HP TouchPad isn’t the only webOS tablet HP will be bringing to the tablet space this year as the word is HP has a little 7-inch slate up their sleeve that is thus far unannounced but word is the new device may make it to market sometime in August.

According to the guys over at the Boy Genius Report, the Taiwan Economic News claims that info from an Invertec Corp, Taiwan subcontractor states they have managed to gain a substantial order from HP for tablets.

Apparently the firm has received orders for 400,000 to 450,000 tablets a month from Invertec, while the source claims that HP has placed orders for their HP TouchPad which should see release on the 1st of July, and also orders for a smaller 7-inch tablet that is thus far unannounced.

Unfortunately, currently there are no further details on this mystery 7-inch HP slate, but an industry insider, nameless of course, has said that Invertec is to ship 3 million HP tablets in 2011; more on this as and when we hear.
