The BlackBerry Bold 9900 aka Touch has just been sold on eBay for £900, and if you visit Amazon UK you will notice a white version of the smartphone on sale for only £549.99.

eBay had a listing titled “BlackBerry Bold 9900 Black Factory Unlocked New Handset” and it sold for £900.00 in the UK, the price is very high indeed and this is because the handset is a pre-release, it is unlocked and is branded as a Bold on the back.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is brand new and un-used, and listed as unopened and undamaged and still in its original retail packaging. Main features include Web, GPRS, GPS, Quad-band, Tri-band, Instant Messaging, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5MP camera, 8GB Internal Memory, 3G and WAP. For more information please visit BBNews.pl.

Looking over at CrackBerry they mention that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is coming in White according to Amazon UK. The Amazon site does not have any images but they do mention that the Blackberry Bold 9900 Sim Free Smartphone in white is due to release on October 15, 2011.

Obviously we take everything with a pinch of salt until we get official news, but it is still worth thinking about if this is real or not. The white BlackBerry Bold 9900 in white has a price tag of £549.99, which is cheaper than the sold black version above.
