The latest news covering Gears of War 3 is about the torrent leak; apparently the leak has nothing to do with the final build. We will give you more news on this plus this prompts us to give you a few Android and iOS apps on the new Gears of War 3 game.

CVG reports that Epic and Microsoft have both responded about the latest Gears of War 3 torrent leak that happened over the weekend, letting fans know that the leak has nothing to do or represent that the players will have with the real thing. The game will be finally released worldwide on September 20, 2011.

That is the latest news on the game; whilst on the subject we thought we would let you know of a few Android and iOS apps that are available right now via iTunes and the Android Market.

The first app is called “Guide To Gears Of War 3” for £0.59 (iTunes), this is the complete guide to Gears of War 3, the app includes: All Characters and Bios, iPhone Wallpapers, All Weapons, Details on new game modes, give you information on all maps, plot and setting information, plus new campaign features.

The second app is called “Gears of War 3 Virtual Coach” (iTunes £1.19); this app apparently offers you more than any other gaming guide anywhere. Main features include: KD Pro, Advanced Gun Stats, Gamer Lounge Chat Room, Strategies Database with over 1000 strategies, tips, tricks, hacks, glitches and cheats. It also contains Team Builder where you can recruit and join teams, Match Finder, Gamer Profile, Route Tracer, HD Maps, User savings, Giveaways, News Feed and Theater Mode.

Up next is “ULTD For Gears of War 3” via iTunes for only 59 pence, this is an unofficial app but well worth a mention. This is nothing more than a guide to GoW 3, this game is coming to the Xbox 360 in September and this app will give you all you need to know about multiplayer weapons, multiplayer maps and game modes, plus

Learn about the in the Weapons section. Read up on the various in the Maps section*, and swat up on all multiplayer Ribbons, Skins, Characters, Executions and Medals in the Strategy section. This app is a growing progress and will be updated on a regular basis, main features include: Campaign Information, Weapon Skins list, Characters list, New Weapons list and Information, Beta Game Strategy & Tips, Multiplayer Maps, No internet required, Screenshots and Wallpapers.

Now moving onto Android apps, we have found “Gears of War 3 Handbook” via Android Market for free. This app features a countdown widget, weapons, characters, factions and multiplayer information.

The second Android app via the Android Market is also free and is called “Gears Of War 3 Widget”, nothing more to say other than this application is a countdown widget, self-explanatory really.

Then there is “Gears of War 3 Game Guide” (Android Market for free). This is a simple guide to Gears of War 3, get information on multiplayer Ribbons, Executions, Skins, Characters, Medals in the Strategy section. This quick-fire guide gives you the chance to explore the game, regular updates will continue within this app.
