iTunes 10.5 & iOS 5 Beta 3 Released, RedSn0w can Jailbreak

Good news on the beta 3 front, Apple has just released the new iOS 5 Beta 3 as well as iTunes 10.5 Beta 3. You will also be happy to know that the new RedSn0w can jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 3.

Apple has released its iOS 5 Beta 3 to developers, this new update is for the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4 GSM and CDMA versions, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch (3rd/4th gen) and the Apple TV. Just so all jailbreakers know, if you decide to update to the new iOS 5 beta 3 it could potentially scrap your jailbreak.

At the moment no one is sure if the new update will get rid of your jailbreak, we will obviously let you know more about this. As usual, if you are a registered developer you can get the new iOS 5 Beta 3 via your account. Please do let us know how the download went and what new features we can look forward too.

Whilst on the subject of Beta 3, the new Apple iTunes 10.5 Beta 3 has also been released. This update like the iOS 5 Beta 3 is for developer only, you can start downloaded via your dev account. You will need to install this new iTunes so that the new iOS 5 Beta 3 works, once again the more information you can give us the better for our readers. Please make this the number one place to be to send in comments, we want to learn more about the new iTunes 10.5 beta 3 and what new features we can expect.

Last but not least the new RedSn0w can Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 3 according to iDB, jailbreakers is going to love this one we are guessing. MuscleNerd tweeted on Twitter earlier today mentioning that you can use RedSn0w to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3, apparently you do need to have a developer account (Wonder if it has to be a real account or not?)

If you are planning on jailbreaking your iOS device running the new iOS 5 beta 3 that was released today, you will need to download the updated version of RedSn0w, which was release 4 to 5 weeks ago. Just point RedSnow to iOS 5 beta 1 instead of Beta 3,

If you visit the iDB source above they have detailed information via a RedSn0w guide, you need to be running iOS 5 beta 3 on your device, when you get to step six on the guide just point RedSn0w to iOS 5 beta 1. This is a tethered jailbreak readers so please remember to plug your device in to reboot, if you want to continue relying on an unlock then please do not run iOS 5 beta 3 as it will update your baseband, if you do decide not to follow this info then you should know you will not be able to unlock your iPhone.

If you have any information on the above, please do send in your comments, the more we know the more our readers know. Get the comments started and have the best discussion corner.
