AT&T is dropping its prices for a reason, and we suggest it is to make room on its shelves for a new kid on the block, shall we hazard a guess and say the iPhone 5.
The iPhone 3GS is going to be old news soon and it will not be wanted by any customer, new devices are coming this year and stock needs to disappear of the shelves, and this is the reason for the low price.
The purchase still requires the renewal of a two-year contract with AT&T as said above and a 90-day warranty and 30-day trial period is offered for refurbished devices. Come on, for $9 this is the lowest price ever to be seen.
The Apple iPhone 3GS is two years old now and it is old technology, Apple obviously wishes to sell more iPhone’s and that results in carriers to get rid of old stock to make more room for new stock, simple process really that makes sense.
We believe that the iPhone 4 this year will see a price drop very soon, the iPhone 5 will release in a few months and these current models need to sell also, the iPhone 4 will see a price drop selling for around $99.
