Android, iPhone & iPad Accessories: Sonos Play Wireless Speakers

There are many accessories on the market for Android, iPhone and the iPad, so we thought we would have a look around for new wireless speakers for these devices. We have come up with the new Sonos Play:3 and Play:5 speaker systems.

The Sonos Play:3 is the cheapest model at €299 and this one features: Digital music with HiFi sound, 3-driver speaker system, 3 digital amps, 1 tweeter, 2 mid-range drivers and 1 bass radiator.

The nest model is a little more expensive at € 399, the Sonos Play:5 features Digital music with HiFi sound, 5-driver speaker system, 5 digital amps, 2 tweeters, 2 mid-range drivers and 1 bass driver.

The cheaper model is our eyes is the favoured one, it is 100 Euros cheaper than the Play:5 and yet still gives a great quality in sound. The Play:3 is more compact and comes with Sonos Controller software for Mac and Windows as well as being handled with iOS and Android. You can get free Sonos Controller apps for Android, iPhone and iPad, this allows the user control zone players, music on the Internet and your computer right from the palm of your hand. Just visit iTunes and the Android Market to download these dedicated apps.

The Sonos allows you to play music direct from your iTunes library; you can stream music service such as Last.fm, SiriusXM, Rhapsody, Spotify, Pandora and many more.

The Sonos can sit anywhere you like horizontally or vertically, we must make you aware before you decide to purchase that you DO need Internet connection and your home network, the speaker gets connect via your network wirelessly or connected via a Sonos’ Bridge,

We know of a few people that own Sonos products and they swear by them, so it is about time we got our hands on the Play:3 or Play:5 and test the waters, we would love to give Sonos the hands on treatment.

If I had to choose out of the two wireless speaker systems, it would have to be the Play:3 due to the size, affordability, ok it lacks a few features but for an extra one hundred euros for the Play:5 the Play:3 is for us. Please check out the video below of the Sonos Play:3 in action.
