Motorola XT531 (Fire & Spice) The Saving Money Gingerbread Smartphone: Update

The new Motorola XT531 is what we call the money saving Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone; this is all down to the handset being budget-friendly. The XT531 handset will also be know as the Motorola FIRE XT in Europe and the Motorola SPICE XT in Latin America and will be available in either single-SIM and dual-SIM models in select parts of Asia, the dual-SIM model will be available starting this fall.

Even though this phone is classed as budget-friendly it does not mean you lose in the design and specification department, on the contrary. The Motorola XT531 has a nice slim design and comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, 3.5-inch touchscreen, dual-cameras, video capture and so much more (Full specs below).

Motorola XT531 Main Features Include: Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 3.5-inch HVGA display with capacitive multi-touch, Dual-band HSDPA/Quad-band EDGE, 5MP camera with auto-focus and built in flash, 800MHz chipset, Front-facing VGA camera for video call, 512MB onboard memory, MicroSD card slot expandable up to 32GB, Moto Switch UI allows users to shift to different modes, Google Talk, Google Apps, FM Radio with RDS support, plus E-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, Wi-Fi b/g/n, aGPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack, LED notifications, as well as a 1540mAh battery providing up to 8 hours of talk time and 28 days in standby in 3G mode.

The Motorola XT531 (Also known as the Fire & Spice, dependant on what country you are in) will be available in China starting August, Hong Kong, Taiwan and select countries in Europe and Latin America starting this fall.
