HTC Thunderbolt Official Gingerbread Update Available

Phones Review Quickie: Lets start off by explaining that although this Android Gingerbread update is an official build for the HTC Thunderbolt, is isn’t the final build, so you might like to wait a bit longer if you want that final build on your Thunderbolt.

According to the guys over at Phandroid, build version 2.07.605.0 Gingerbread has now been leaked for the HTC Thunderbolt and unlike past builds is not a test build although they also stipulate that there is no guarantee that those that download this update will be able to update to the final build afterwards.

However if you are an HTC thunderbolt owner who has just about come to the end of their patience waiting for the Android Gingerbread update to arrive and take you from playing on Android 2.2 Froyo then maybe this version is for you.

Of course it goes without saying that no one else can be held responsible if you do download and install this Gingerbread update on your Android handset as you do so at your own risk and could possibly if things go wrong brick your device.

Having said that apparently the instructions on grabbing the update are somewhat easy and can be gained by hitting up The Mik Mik.

Of course you could simply pass on this one and wait for that long overdue over the air update, which should be getting fairly close by now. But if you do go ahead and grab this official build and install on your Thunderbolt feel free to let us know how you get on and if you experience and issues by posting to our comments area below.
