Android Ice Cream Sandwich On Nexus Prime In Oct

Phones Review Quickie: So just when will the Android world see the next version of the mobile operating system known as Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and which will be the first smartphone to come out to play carrying the new OS, well apparently the word is out that both could release sometime in October, with the Google Nexus Prime being the main candidate.

According to an article over on Unwired View by way of Oled-display, Korean website ET News is reporting that the Google Nexus Prime is likely to be the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone to hit the mobile space and that Google plans on launching the handset in October.

Word has it the Nexus Prime, the third Nexus device will be a Samsung designed smartphone and sport a 1.5 GHz dual core processor along with a4.5-inch Super AMOLED HD touch screen, but other than that there are no further details on the smartphone.

There also aren’t any pictures of the latest addition to the Google Nexus line, so thus far no one really knows what the handset will look like but if that October launch is spot on no doubt images of the aforementioned device will soon be leaked to the net waves.

Launching the Samsung Nexus Prime Android handset in October may have its problems considering the latest word on the release of the iPhone 5 has been tagged as October as well, so the Nexus Prime may face some challenge, or you could look at it the other way round of course and that the iPhone 5 could face a serious challenge from the first Ice Cream Sandwich outing.

That’s all we know for now but as soon as we hear more we will pass it along, but if the iPhone 5 and Nexus Prime does go head to head in October which do you reckon will grab the most attention?
