Nokia 100 and 101 Affordable Phones Launched

Nokia has now announced the launch of their “most affordable phones to date,” the Nokia 101 and Nokia 100, both candy-bar handsets with a 1.8-inch colour display along with “attractive designs” and a range of fun and practical features.

The Nokia 101 is the 5th handset to feature dual SIM in the last 3 months enabling the user to connect to 2 different networks and is dual band EGSM 900/1800, S30 software and UI, FM radio, MP3 player, 103 loudspeaker, microSD expansion up to 16GB, 800mAh battery and measures 110 x 45.5 x 14.9mm with a weight of 71 grams.

The Nokia 100 mobile phone is targeted towards people that want simplicity and durability along with affordability and features a “grid based menu system”, easy to read icons, FM radio, S30 software, 800mAh battery and measures 110 x 45.5 x 14.9mm with a weight of 70 grams.

The executive vice president of mobile phones at Nokia, Mary McDowell says, “We recognize that for many of the next billion people, a phone purchase is an investment. People are looking for a phone that offers great features but also one that is dependable. When paired with powerful and locally relevant services such as Nokia Life Tools, the Nokia 101 and Nokia 100 offer a unique experience that is simply unmatched in their markets at these price points.”

The Nokia 101 becomes available in Q3 in Phantom Black and Coral Red and will command a price tag of roughly €25, which is about $35, while the Nokia 100 will become available in Q4 in Legion Blue, Ocean Blue, Phantom Black, Coral Red, and Festive Pink and will command a price tag of approximately €20, about $30.

    i just got this at tesco for£11.97 my other phone is nokia 1661 both phones are so easy and do just what i want, no fancy frills, but a good phone. However the only downside is the loudspeaker on the 100 is poorer.
