Windows Phone Mango Update Possibly Rolling Out This Week

The latest Windows Phone operating system, Windows Phone Mango was delivered to smartphone makers back in July and since that time we have already seen three new Mango devices in the form of the HTC Titan, HTC radar and the Fujitsu IS12T surface, but what about other Windows Phone 7 devices, when will they see the Windows Phone Mango update?

Well according to an article over on Unwired View, a Windows Phone Dev Podcast by Lewis and Ryan Lowdermilk says that Windows Phone 7.5 aka Mango, will be delivered to existing Windows Phone 7 handsets via an update, possibly this week…

“Windows Phone podcast’s hosts Ryan and Travis Lowdermilk apparently have heard from “various sources” that Mango will be coming next week along with the final version of Windows Phone developer tools.”

Apparently the Windows Phone Dev Podcast guys have a reasonable reputation for being fairly accurate with their information previously predicting the dates of the Windows Phone Mango developer betas and were also the first to leak Mango screenshots.

Furthermore apparently the rumour is that Windows Phone Mango will be released on the 15th of this month, which being only a few days away will be confirmed as true or not, but it is looking like the Windows Phone faithful may just see mango hit their Windows Phone 7 device in the not too distant future if all turns out to be spot on.

So there you have it, WP7 device owners should keep their eyes open this week for that Mango update to hit, so feel free to let us know if you do see the Windows Phone Mango update become available later in the week by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
