I agree. Battery life was not improved whatsoever. If it has, it must be 5minutes. Wonder if there’s anyway Thunderbolt owners can complain or simply exchange for another phone. Iphone is looking great right about now compared to this phone. I can almost guarantee that this will be considered one of HTC’s poorer products. Battery was not thought of at all.

Finally got the Gingerbread update for my Thunderbolt. Very disappointed. Version 2.3.4, no sense 3.0, uses more RAM, Voice mail notification doesn’t work. Should have rooted and put on what I liked…

The new dock feature is a 100 percent improvement over the previous version. Friendstream, weather, etc. are all now part of the dock screen. Worth the upgrade right there!

It looks like VZW pulled the update off and also their update PDF sheets from their Thunderbolt website which were posted this week regarding the improvements for today’s download. My voicemail notifications are gone as well.

My wife’s Thunderbolt got the Gingerbread update. When I enable video and voice for Google Talk, she only appears from other Talk clients as having voice available. Calling her on voice drops the connection immediately. When she clicks to video chat with me on my Bionic or Xoom, the call never reaches me, and only her back-facing camera is enabled. BAH.

Still not able to connect to 4G LTE even when in LTE/CDMA mode, i have to use CDMA only just to be able to use 3G correctly. HTC really fucked us over here. iPhone is looking pretty nice right about now…

Did the OTA update just fine last night. I’m running Launcher Pro, and needed to install Home Switcher as it kept reverting back to the default HTC Sense…

The Verizon Thunderbolt an expensive and risky investment. It’ll send
    txt messages to
the wrong people (which can cause damage to your personal and business
    life); the
camera claims a forward facing feature, but frequently crashes the
    camera… a
solution to the crashes requires an unnecessarily long process which is
only a short-term fix as the camera will crash again. Also, the flash
to the camera sometimes won’t work because of a non-existent “call” that
    is in
progress. It’s hard to tell if the poor audio of the calls is a result
    of the
famed 4G network or a defective speaker. Worst yet, Verizon refuses to
    uphold
its side of the contract. When customer service is called regarding the
    various
issues, they blame htc and offer remedies that are a fraction of the
    cost to
the customer. If a customer upholds their end of a contract by making
    regular
and consistent payments with the expectation of receiving a certain
    level of
service, the customer can rest assured Verizon will not uphold their end
    when they
fail to provide that service – don’t expect compensation because you
    won’t get
    it.

This is one of the worst phones I’ve ever owned.  They keep pushing updates, things stop working.  My camera hasn’t worked in a month since the update and now the phone keeps arbitrarily entering ‘airplane mode’.   Thanks, I can’t tell you the last time I needed ‘airplane mode’ ….  I’d go back to a blackberry over this POS.
