Acer Allegro Windows Phone Coming With Affordable Price Tag

Phones Review Quickie: If you are of the opinion that Windows Phone Mango smartphones are a tad on the expensive side then perhaps a new Mango smartphone coming out of the Acer camp called the Acer Allegro might be more to your liking with its affordable price tag said to be 299 Euro.

According to the guys over at Unwired View by way of Telecompaper, Acer has announced the Acer Allegro Windows Phone, which should release in Europe sometime before Christmas although just where in Europe the device will surface hasn’t been said.

The guys presume that the Acer Allegro could be the Acer W4 and if this is the case the device should sport a 1GHz single core processor, a 3.6-inch WVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel rear facing camera, WiFi, GPS, and HSPA, although Acer hasn’t confirmed this.

If the Acer Allegro does indeed launch in Europe before Christmas it will apparently be one of the most affordable Windows Phone Mango handsets available on the market.

Furthermore, apparently Acer also announced the Acer Liquid Mini Ferrari Edition handset, which is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone packing a 600MHz processor, 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, with 8GB internal memory and should hit the market before the end of the year with a price tag of again 299 Euros.

So there you have it, a couple of reasonably priced smartphone on Windows Phone and Android that should hit Europe before the holiday season, any of out European readers interested in either handset, if so feel free to let us know by dropping us a comment below.
