Eee Pad Transformer 2 Teased by Asus in Video
The original Android Honeycomb Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet was quite the success story for Asus, and adding to that success story the company is gearing you to launch the successor to the Transformer, the aptly named Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 and have now teased potential customers with a video.
Naturally we have the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 footage, called Asus — The next Transformation for your viewing pleasure below courtesy of the guys over at Slash Gear and by way of the Asus YouTube page.
This quick tease of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 only last 22-seconds but the guys say that we do get to see such things as the tablet will have a rear camera with LED flash and also how the Transformer docks with the keyboard, which has had a redesign.
The next generation Transformer tablet is also slimmer than the original and looks like Asus has gone with a metal chassis rather than the plastic as seen on the Transformer 1.
As Google has now gone officially with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, an operating system that melds both smartphone and tablet operating systems, there could be a chance that the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 might come with Android 4.0 in tow, although that hasn’t been confirmed.
Word is the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 will be arriving shortly, November the 7th has been rumoured for the UK, and will possibly carry a price tag of around Â£537 and $499 in the US.
