The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smarphone was announced early hours of this morning, and this phone will be right up against the Apple iPhone 4S. Two amazing smartphones to choose from is a hard decision, so we will do what we call the ‘iPhone 4S or Galaxy Nexus, the specs test choice’, here goes.

The iPhone 4S Display: 3.5 inch (~330 ppi pixel density) LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen, with 640 x 960 pixels (16-million colours). Also features scratch-resistant oleophobic glass, Multi-touch input method, Three-axis gyro sensor, Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus Display: 4.65-inch (~316 ppi pixel density) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, with Oleophobic surface, 720 x 1280 pixels (16-million colours). Featuring Multi-touch input method, Touch-sensitive controls, Three-axis gyro sensor, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

iPhone 4S CPU & OS: 1 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Apple A5 chipset, PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. Comes with the new iOS 5 operating system.

    UI Auto Rotate That’s because Android always knows which way is up! lol….. You can even use your phone upside down and the UI buttons rotate with it! ^_^

    My brother has the Galaxy, I have the iPhone 4S and I like it much better. The Galaxy is a plastic bomb that feels cheap to me, it also doesn’t react like the iPhone.
    So iPhone 4S without a doubt.

    1. Wait, how can your friend have it, if it hasn’t even been released? Are you sure you’re not talking about the Samsung Galaxy S? That’s an old phone by now, this is the Galaxy NEXUS – to be released either 17th Nov or 2nd Dec, depending on which source you believe.
