LG Optimus LTE coming to Canada as LG Eye? Video
The LG Optimus LTE is the first Android smartphone to come out to play packing an HD touch screen, albeit the device only being available in Korea. However it appears that the LG Optimus LTE may be making its way to Canada along with getting a name change to the LG Eye. The reason it is believed that the Android phone will be heading to Canada is because of a recently release promo video touting the LG Eye and of course we have that video for your viewing consideration below.
The LG Optimus LTE video footage comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Phone Arena and by way of Mobile Syrup and is promotional video for The Source, a firm owned by Bell Canada and in the footage the guy keeps referring to the handset as the LG Eye, thus the presumed name change for Canada.
The LG Optimus LTE spec and thus presumably the LG Eye specs are a 4.5-inch “IPS True HD” touch screen, 8 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera with LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1080p HD video recording, 1.5GHz dual core processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 1GB ROM, 4GB storage, microSD expansion up to 32GB, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, in 10.4mm thick with an 1830mAh battery and 4G LTE connectivity of course.
Obviously there’s no confirmed date as to just when the LG Optimus LTE/ LG Eye will be hitting Canadian shores, but apparently the word is the device will hit Bell sometime in November, no word on whether the Android handset will come to the US or elsewhere after though.
Of course the big question with the LG Optimus LTE or LG Eye other than where the device will launch next is, will the Gingerbread handset get updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich at some point in the future, and the answer to that question is we’ll just have to wait and see.
Anyway that’s your lot, all you need do now is head on down and mash that play button to check out the LG Eye promotional video…enjoy.
