Angry Birds coming to Nokia S40 handsets

Phones Review Quickie: Nokia World 2011 is of and running in London, and along with introducing their new range of Asha S40 handsets, which we have just reported on, Nokia has also announced that the highly popular multi-platform game Angry Birds will be coming to all Nokia S40 devices at some point in the future.

According to the guys over at Slash Gear, all existing S40 Nokia phones will gain Angry Birds and so will the new Nokia Asha 200, Asha 201, Asha 300 and Asha 303, so S40 users can get their green pig killing action on.

Angry Birds for S40 devices will becomes available via Nokia Ovi Store although at this point in the game it is unclear whether the Angry Birds app for S40 will be a paid application or a free download to users.

However, as Nokia’s S40 range of devices are entry level it would make sense that the Angry Birds app for S40 be offered as a free app like the Android version rather than a paid version of the game like with iOS.

As of right now though, Nokia hasn’t made it clear just when Angry Birds for S40 will becomes available to users, so best advice is to simply keep your eye on the Nokia Ovi Store so you can grab it if you wish when it does eventually land.
