Galaxy Nexus Unlocked Amazon UK Release Date

Well now, if you are over here in the United Kingdom and have been thinking about snapping up the first Android smartphone to come out to play sporting Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus of course, which we previously reported is set to release in the UK on O2 in November, but we now have the expected release date for the unlocked Galaxy Nexus on Amazon.

According to an article over on Unwired View, Amazon has the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16GB SIM free and unlocked with an in stock date of November the 10th, however when I checked on Amazon UK they now say the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected to release as of the 2nd of November.

Thus one can presume that if the Android Ice Cream Sandwich Galaxy Nexus is releasing on the 2nd of November, customers should be able to purchase the unlocked model as of then.

Price wise though, if you want your Galaxy Nexus off contract the Android handset will set you back a rather hefty 550 quid, which is roughly about 630 Euros, but according to Amazon the RRP for the Galaxy Nexus is £730.15 so you’re saving £180.16, or 25 percent.

Quick spec reminder for the handset that has had every talking, a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD touch screen, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1080p video, NFC, Face Unlock, Google+ app, 4G LTE and HSPA+ connectivity, WiFi,WiFi Hotspot, 3.5mm jack and 16GB or 32GB internal storage.

So will any of our UK readers be snapping up the Samsung Galaxy Nexus unlocked and SIM free from Amazon UK?

I’m glad I pre-ordered from unlocked-mobiles before they put the price up from £475 because £550 is way too much. Hopefully they will start shipping on the 2nd, google and samsung should have been much faster at getting the device out after it was announced.

That is just a 3rd party selling via amazon. Amazon UK have there own page, where it is sold and shipped buy Amazon… and they want £730 for it!!! figure that out?
