Samsung Galaxy Note release date, price & confused

The Samsung Galaxy Note release date has been brought forward to November 1st, which is much better than the first thought November 17th. This little gadget is confused because it does not know if it is a phone or a tablet, personally if it is a phone it is too big, and if it is a tablet it is too small.

Yesterday Phones Review colleague James reported a few details about the new Samsung Galaxy Note, including a video (Showing below). But now thanks to Clove Blog they have more details on prices and full specifications.

First of all let’s talk money, the source above believes that the Galaxy Note will be prices at £495, yet again another good in reading twice because it was first thought to be £559.

Main specs include: 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED touch screen, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 16GB internal storage, 2-megapixel front facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, 1.4 GHz dual core processor, A-GPS and 3.5mm jack, plus much more. 1. I utterly disagree with this review in one aspect: This phone is NOT to big to be used as a phone.  Compare to home phone headsets- it’s about the same mass and length.  And if using a bluetooth, it’s irrelevant.  The key aspect- does it fit in a shirt/jacket pocket (yes) and does it fit easily in a purse (yes).  The iPad is a definite ‘no’ to both of those questions.  This product is LONG overdue- a smartphone large enough to actually easily read what’s on it and to easily type on and take notes on.  And may I remind everyone that we used to want to see photos at least at the 5×7 inch size.  This is a lot closer to that than an iPhone.  Let’s hope Sprint and Verizon get it and not just AT&T.  Otherwise it won’t connect anywhere and will be just another brick, rather than an iPhone killer.

I’ve searched high and low and there is no talk of this phone coming to the US. However, you can buy it unlocked and it will work on at&ts network in the states given the phone is GSM ready. An expensive venture yet well worth it in my humble opinion.
