LG DoublePlay unboxed and first impressions video

As you know, T-Mobile has a new Android smartphone coming out to play before the holiday season, the LG DoublePlay, a slide out QWERTY device sporting two display, and if you are pondering on whether the LG DoublePlay is the smartphone for you perhaps an unboxing and first impressions video of the device will help you make up your mind.

So that’s what we have for your viewing pleasure below, an unboxing of the LG DoublePlay that comes our way courtesy of Sydney Myers over at Phone Dog and Sydney also delivers her first impressions of the Android handset in the ten and a half minute footage.

So let’s kick off with what specs the LG DoublePlay offers the user, a 3.5-inch primary touch screen, a 2-inch sub-touch screen at the centre of that slide out physical QWRTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, 720p video, 1GHz processor, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSPA+ connectivity, a 1500mAh battery and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The LG DoublePlay’s sub-display can show elements of the same application either independently or simultaneously on the main display and thus enables the user to monitor two applications at the same time, but is that spilt keyboard design and sub-display practical when using?

Well to find that out I’ll leave you to head on down and mash that play button to check out Sydney’s first impressions of the LG DoublePlay for yourself, but feel free to let us know you own views on the device by dropping us a comment below…enjoy.
