PowerAMP for Android Updated

For those Android faithful that use the PowerAMP music player for Android, one of the most sophisticated music players for the platform, you might like to know that PowerAMP music player for Android has now received an update and available to download from the Android Market.

According to the guys over at Android Police, the two main changes between v1.4 and v2.0 are an update to the musiXmatch plugin enabling users to search for the lyrics to virtually any song and also see lyrics of tunes that are currently popular, and the update adds the ability to delete items.

PowerAMP Music Player for Android v2.0 is a free update for every Android user that purchased PowerAMP Full Version Locker, which is available from the Android Market at a cost of $5.16.

Apparently PowerAMP (Trial) is the main application and the update brings completely independent Library implementation and thus you need to ensure you have all your music folders checked in the PowerAMP settings.

Key features of PowerAMP for Android are, the ability to play mp3, mp4/m4a (including alac), ogg, wma*, flac, wav, ape, wv, tta, mpc, aiff (* some wma pro files may require NEON support), a 10 band optimised graphical equaliser, separate Bass and Treble adjustment, OpenGL based cover art animation.

If you upgrade your PowerAMP for Android app and find it isn’t quite to your personal taste you can downgrade to v1.4 by downloading the 1.4 version direct from the PoweAMP website.

PowerAMP Music Player (Trial) v2.0 is available to download free from the Android Market, but don’t forget you will require PowerAMP Full Version Unlocker to unlock the trail version once the trail has expired, and is available from the Android Market at that $5.16 price.
