iOS against Android Gmail App comparison video

As the iPhone faithful probably know, the Google guys delivered the native Gmail app for iOS, but have pulled the application from the App Store due to bugs in push notifications, so what we have for your viewing consideration below is a comparison video between the iOS Gmail app and the Android Gmail app so you can see if anything is different.

The Gmail on IOS versus Android video comes our way courtesy of the guys over at TiPb and by way of Android Central and delivers almost four minutes of checking out the two versions of Gmail.

According to the TiPb guys the iOS version of the Gmail app isn’t “horrible” but apparently doesn’t feel like an Android or iOS app but rather “a weird in-between place.”

The iOS Gmail app in the video is running on the iPhone 4 rather than the iPhone 4S and the footage does show that the iPhone 4 is somewhat on the slow side when loading the Gmail app. The sign in page on iOS is the same as on Android and when opening email the app looks better on Android although this could be down to using the larger display on the Samsung Nexus S.

We then get treated to the iOS Gmail app running on the Apple iPad 2 running iOS 5 of which he says it’s nice, smooth and easy.

Anyway I’ll leave it right there as not to spoil your viewing enjoyment but rather simply let you head on down and hit that play button to check out the comparison between iOS and Android Gmail apps, and once any of our iOS readers get the app feel free to pass on your opinion by posting to our comments area below…enjoy.
