You got Samsung Epic 4G Android 2.3 Gingerbread update yet?
At last, Samsung Epic 4G users can now install the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread update; both Sprint and Samsung have decided to roll out the EI22 update. It will be released in stages, so if you have not received it just yet please do worry, it is coming to you.
This new update will reach all users within 10 days according the Sprint Community website, this means your Samsung Epic 4G will be bumped from Android Froyo to Gingerbread, and will have many improvements, enhancements’ and fixes.
What the update has: Upgrade of the Google OS from Froyo to Gingerbread (Android 2.3), SMS messages sent without area code, Bluetooth headset sound improvements, PRL and Profile update, Audible Sprint AIRAVE notifications when answering call, EAS (Exchange Activesync) email displaying HTML, as well as Fully visible date on device lock screen.
This software version is S:D700.0.5S.EI22; please do let us know if you have got your Samsung Epic 4G Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.

You could tell the difference? I updated and I guess I expected something dazzling. I don’t notice much.
Its about some fXXXin time there. I was giving up but there is light at the end of some tunnel after all. Its time for the Holidays and I want Gingerbread. Is that too much to ask Sprint? Samsung? Anyone?Well I heard in the next 10 day and that is as of 2 days ago, just counting down. Trust me I am not expecting Ice Cream Sandwhich, lol. Is there a leaked sight I can get my nasty hands on? just kidding they are not nasty but how bout that leak?
