iOS 5.0.1 Sn0wBreeze v2.8b11 update, tethered jailbreak

Yesterday we asked you if the new iOS 5.0.1, which was released to the public has helped your battery life, then we reported a little later reporting that it was a failure. The update was released to fix battery issues, fix Siri and the Smart Cover security flaw, please do let us know how you are getting on.

Anyway, we also mentioned is our RedSn0w article that jailbreakers should stay away from updating; the reason for this is that it could stop a true iOS 5 jailbreak. But we know many of you will be impatient, so how about a new Sn0wBreeze update.

The iOS 5.0.1 Sn0wBreeze v2.8b11 update is a tethered jailbreak, announced by iH8Sn0w. iDB have put together the change log.

What Sn0wBreeze v2.8b11 gives you: Fixed iBooks sandbox crashing issues (as of 2.8b9), Supports iOS 5.0 (9A334)/5.0.1 (9A405), Re-added iPad baseband install option to iPhone 3GS, Tethered devices are booted via iBooty which is extracted to the Desktop after running sn0wbreeze, and it has Fixed location services issues with iPhone 3GS users running the iPad baseband (as of 2.8b9).

Please do let us know if you use the new Sn0wBreeze update?
