HTC & Fader announce X Squared Remix Project

In celebration of the release of the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone from the HTC camp, namely the HTC Rezound, HTC and music and lifestyle media group Fader Inc have announced the X Squared Remix Project, which pairs 10 rapper with 10 producers for 10 original tracks, with a new track releasing each week.

According to the VPO, the X Squared Remix Project has been created to highlight the sonic power of the new HTC Rezound, as the Android handset is the only smartphone with built in Beats Audio.

The fader X Square sets out to pair artists that traverse the hip-hop and the first collaboration is to be Danny Brown’s “Die Like a Rockstar” remixed by DJ Nick Catchdubs and is available for free from www.thefader,com/htc as of right now until the end of the year.

The HTC & Fader X Squared Remix Project will continue to offer cuts from Schoolboy Q, Don Trip, Casey Veggies, Clams Casino and more.

Furthermore in addition to the remixes, HTC powers the Fader mobile app for both the Android and iOS platforms for the duration of the X Squared project, and through the apps X Squared tracks can be streamed free and also download exclusive wallpaper and original artwork.

The schedule for the release of the X Squared Remix tracks are, Danny Brown x Nick Catchdubs on the 15th of Nov — Casey Veggies x brandUn DeShay on the 17th Nov — Fred the Godson x Beautiful Lou on the 22nd of Nov — Schoolboy Q x Rustie on the 28th of Nov — Stalley x Lunice on Dec 1st — and Don Trip x JJ on the 6th of December.
