Galaxy Nexus volume bug fix available right now

Those who own the first Android Ice cream Sandwich smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus have been experiencing a bug with the volume as we have already reported, and also that Google and Samsung are working of a fix for the problem. However it appears old Samsung and the Google guys have been beaten to the punch by the Android community.

According to an article over on Slash Gear, the guys over at MoDaCo have come up with a patch for the volume issue on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that is said to be the official release of the fix and have made it available ahead of Samsung.

The guys at MoDaCo say in order to flash the boot image you will need to unlock your bootloader, and also warn that when you do flash the boot image it will wipe your Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the process.

The guys do warn though that you apply the fix at your own risk, albeit that state it is still in the testing stage internally, but it is working great for them.

So if you have been suffering from the volume issue on your Galaxy Nexus and wish to grab the fix you can do so right now by hitting up the MoDaCo website, or of course you could just wait until Sammy and Google officially push it out anyway.
