News comes via idownloadblog.com, that hacker pod2g has managed to jailbreak his iPhone 4 running with iOS 5.0.1 without a hitch. As with any articles we report on in relation to jailbreaking your device, it is something that we wouldn’t recommend, but at the same time we leave it up to you to make that decision.

Thanks to hacker pod2g, proof of the untethered jailbreak has been shown via a video, with news to those fans on Twitter that the iPhone 4 is now “ok to update.” This as reported, is somewhat different to that of unlocking a SIM.
