Nokia Lumia 800 with ICS 4.0: Lacks 3MP at Newegg

For many facing the decision to purchase a new mobile phone handset, big names such as Samsung, Apple, Motorola, HTC, BlackBerry and even LG spring to mind, but have we forgotten Nokia and what they are actually offering, take the new Lumia 710 and 800 line-up.

Just the other day we reported on an unlocked imported price for the Nokia 710, and how this week T-Mobile and Nokia are hosting an event on 14th December, leaving many to believe that T-Mobile will be running with the new Lumia making it the first US carrier to launch a new Windows Phone handset. Today the news has turned to the 710’s bigger brother, the Lumia 800.

Impressing us with its stunning looks and new 7.5 Mango OS, the new Lumia 800 brings with it a 3.7-inch ClearBlack Amoled touchscreen, 1.4GHz processor, 8 MP camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, Nokia apps and so on.

But what’s interested us today and got us a little confused at the same time, is that the new Lumia 800 is being offered for a hefty price of $699.99 at retailer Newegg.com, giving you the benefit of having the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS with a camera of 5 MP instead of the reported 8 MP, in the colour blue.

Confusing times, but if you’re intrigued follow the link here to head straight to Newegg.com.
