Will China Unicom get iPhone 4S, time will tell

Whilst the rest of the world has and is now enjoying the new iPhone 4S from Apple, poor China are still waiting for the handset to officially become available to buy. Bringing with it new features such as an 8 megapixel camera, iOS 5, Siri Voice Recognition and so on, China iPhone fans are having to twiddle their thumbs.

News courtesy of penn-olson.com, has stated that the network permit for MIIT which many thought referred to the new iPhone 4S, was merely concerning the iPhone 4 8GB model. It seems that the current iPhone 4S is in fact still waiting that important go-ahead.

For fans in China, the situation has still not changed, and things are looking pretty grim with the iPhone 4S releasing this side of Christmas. Before paying customers can even swoop up the phone, China Unicom will still need time to promote the handset by way of advertising and marketing promotion.

Predictions by Industry Experts have been made elsewhere that the phone will release by early 2012 with an approximate price of 4,999 Yuan each.

Any updates to this, we will of course let you know.
