The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android Ice Cream Sandwich release date might still be a mystery, but there is hope that it will happen soon. Now there is a little light as a new Otterbox rugged Defender case has been spotted in a Verizon Store.

Otterbox cases are very popular indeed, what is a little weird is that if you visit the official online store this case is not showing up on their inventory system.

We have a little more news about the Verizon release of the Nexus, come back in an hour or so for the information. The case shown above was spotted by a reader via Droid-Life, and the box clearly says it fits the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, guess its good for those that have this smartphone already.
