TinyCFW downgrades iOS 5 to 4.3.3, the old days

If you have become somewhat weary in waiting for iOS 5 to get jailbroken and would like to roll back to the good old days when your iPhone packed iOS 4.3.3 then you just might like to know about a little tool called TinyCFW, which is apparently a downgrading tool created by the guys that created TinyUmbrella.

According to an article over on iDownload Blog, NotCom has now made TinyCFW available and using your SHSH blobs enables you to downgrade your jailbroken iPhone 4 or Apple iPad 2 back to iOS 4.3.3 so you can revert to using an unteathered jailbreak.

According to NotCom, TinyCFW is quite simple and will modify an existing IPSW for a GSM/CDMA iPhone 4 or a GSM/CDMA Apple iPad 2. TinyCFW will modify the IPSW to update the bandband to the latest and will create an IPSW which can be used with TinyUmbrella and iTunes to restore to a version of IOS that the user has SHSHs for.

Apparently TinyCFW wasn’t intended for public release and was only created for a friend apparently, but NotCom decided to share anyway.

Just so you are aware, TinyCFW is NOT a jailbreak, an unlock, a baseband protection tool, a tool that will restore your device to any firmware, nor is it a tool for use with the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S or Apple iPad.

So there you have it, if you want to give TinyCFW a go o rollback your iOS 5 to iOS 4.3.3 you can check out all the necessary by hitting up The Firmware Umbrella, and feel free to let us know how you get on.

If you have enjoyed this Phones Review article feel free to add me to your circles on Google+ and I will of course add you back.
