Metro PCS LG Connect 4G MS840 Phone pops up

If you are after a mid-range Android 2.3 Gingerbread 4G smartphone on a carrier other than the top four in the USA, you might like to know that the LG Connect 4G smartphone will be making its way to MetroPCS at some point in the future although just when that might be remains a mystery.

According to the guys over at Pocket Now, the LG Connect 4G for MetroPCS sports a 4-inch WVGA NOVA touch screen, a dual core processor of some description, there is a 5-megapixel rear facing camera along with a VGA front facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity of course along with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD.

Apparently though the LG Connect 4G model number of MS840 suggests this Android device is a lower end version of the MS855 LG Optimus Black for MetroPCS.

The guys also say that the LG Connect 4G for MetroPCS isn’t the most interesting thing about the device though as apparently the same model will be with Verizon as the VS840 at some point in the game and will also be the first LTE enabled handset for Sprint with a model number LS840.

Sprint is intending on rolling out their 4G LTE network this year which will be faster than their current WiMax network and will bring them along side rivals Verizon and AT&T who have been rolling our their own LTE networks.

However when it comes to a release date for the LG Connect 4G on any network, there is currently no word on when that might happen but no doubt more on the Android LG Connect 4G will surface during CES 2012.
