Dow Stock 2012 best performance going to AT&T

When it comes to best performance one doesn’t instinctively think of AT&T, but apparently the USA’s number two carrier is exceeding in one area and can apparently lay claim to their stock ranking amongst the best performers in the 2012 Dow stocks according to Cramer.

According to a report by CNBC, due to the failure of AT&T’s attempt to acquire T-Mobile USA, the communications firm was a lagger in 2011 with the acquisition meeting opposition from both the FCC and the Department of Justice claiming the merger would mean fewer jobs, reduced competition and higher prices.

As a result, last month AT&T binned their attempts to acquire T-Mobile USA and the merger is now dead.

Thus Cramer says, “Now the company can go back to focusing on the fundamentals, building its business with small deals, and coining money courtesy of its near-duopoly status in wireless.”

Personally I’m not into all the company stocks thing, but if you are into all the tech speak and stock mumbo-jumbo then we have a video of what Cramer has to say about the Dow Jones including Verizon and AT&T stock for 2012 for your viewing pleasure below.

So I’ll leave it right there and let you head on down to mash that play button to get your stocks fix for the day…enjoy.
