HTC Rezound Review: Pros, cons & bottom line

The HTC Rezound is one of the newest 4G LTE smartphone to come to play on Verizon albeit being an Android Gingerbread device and currently out classed by the newest Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset on the block, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the HTC Rezound still has a great deal to offer.

And the guys over at PC World have now given the HTC Rezound a review, which we thought we’d pass along to our readers who might be considering picking up the HTC Rezound on Verizon on a 2-year contract for $300.

The HTC Rezound sports a 4.3-inch Super LCD 720p touch screen so size wise isn’t too pocket friendly but is good for playing games and watching films. Weighing in at a hefty six ounces the HTC Rezound does feel a solid handset.

The design of the Android Gingerbread smartphone like most HTC devices is fairly straightforward with the 4 standard Android buttons on the front, an 8-medapixel rear facing camera with dual LED flash, and rubber backing so the device feels nice in the hand.

The 1.5GHz dual core processor keeps things zipping along nicely and delivers when it comes to game playing; however, that performance does come at a price and that price is the battery life, with 3 hours of gaming, downloading apps over LTE and web browsing the battery hit just 30 percent remaining.

So what are the pros and cons of the HTC Rezound, well according to the guys the pros are that 720p display, built-in Beats Audio and that fast 1.5GHz processor. When it comes to the downside, the cons are the HTC resound has a very bad battery life and comes with preloaded bloatware, but they do give the Rezound a 4.5 star rating.

S for the guy’s bottom line, the HTC resound is an excellent smartphone that will not feel outdated anytime soon as long as you can put up with the sub par battery life. You can check out the full review of the HTC Rezound over on their website, so is the Rezound the device for you, or will you opt for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or other handset?

Beats audio & HTS Sense cant be a USP here, Performance matters. And thats where HTC Devices are lacking, Battery, Camera and viewing angles all are poor in all recent HTC Devices compare to recent breed of phones with same specs(Rezound, Snsation XE and XL).
Samsung Galaxy Note is a better option if you want something with HD resolution (infact it has more 1280*800). But Note is only available in India, UK, Korea and other asian countries, Its US Launch is due next month.

Evidently you havnt downloaded and watched a 720p video on the rezound. Its without a doubt the sharpest and clearest display on ANY mobile device ive seen. Its better than the razr’s, iphone 4s and the galaxy nexus. Yeah the nexus and razr has the super deep blacks and really vibrant colors but they’re exaggerated, not true-to-life rendering of images. The rezound’s colors are VERY accurate compared to the real thing. The rezound also has the highest pixel density than every other device on the market (including the iphone 4s and galaxy note). The phone is also very fast performing its functions. And taking pictures is almost instantaneous. Its the only phone i know of that records video in slow-motion!
