Nokia Car Mode app released

Some time ago Nokia announced Nokia Car mode, an app that enables the user to connect their Nokia smartphone to their vehicles infotainment system and control your handset via the vehicle rather than having to touch the device, and now finally Nokia has release the Nokia Car Mode app for download.

According to the guys over at Ubergizmo by way of Nokia Conversations, Nokia Car Mode offers turn-by-turn navigation along with traffic updates, Nokia Music, and the ability to place voice calls whilst at the wheel of your car.

There are two versions of the app for Nokia Belle handsets, Nokia Car Mode, which is a free download from the Nokia Store, or the Nokia Car Mode with MirrorLink, which delivers extra MirrorLink support and commands a price tag of €19.99 roughly £17.99 or about $28.

Currently the applications only support Nokia Belle devices but word has it support for the Nokia N9 is on the cards and will come at a later date.
