Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc boasting 12MP camera

Next week at the start of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event in Las Vegas, many will be holding on with baited breath as to what will be showcased and of course announced. Some big named manufacturers will be attending with the exception of Cali company Apple, a separate event is scheduled to take place at the end of this month in New York.

At the start of January, company Sony Ericsson looked to be showcasing some of their new devices at CES after an image teaser was left on Facebook, leaving many to believe that the device could in fact be that of the new Xperia Arc HD. Before the start of the CES event on the 10th January coincidentally ending on the 13th, Pocketlint via ITProPortal have reported on the phone “turning up” with some more spec details to give you.

With an HD screen resolution to boast about and HD video, one feature that sticks out is that of a massive 12MP rear camera, beating off much rival competition with that of 8MP cameras. We wonder here at Phones Review whether this is the way that manufacturers will start to progress with additional features to their devices?

Other features to the Xperia Arc HD include, the smartphone running on Android Gingerbread 2.3.7 that may appear a little disappointing with the lack of the new ICS 4.0 OS. Alongside this, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor is noted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

Would you be tempted by the new Xperia Arc with its 12MP camera? Is this feature a big deal for you when purchasing a new phone?

  1. This would be a dream come true,my Sony laptop looks like it has been
through World War 3! Seriously,my dogs have knocked off the keys,it is
so pitiful looking. But my Mom bought it so I continue to peck away on
it. As she has since passed and I have no money to replace.
