Pantech Burst LTE budget phone: AT&T release date

If you are in the market for an Android smartphone on the AT&T network that comes with speedy 4G LTE but don’t wish to hand over a small fortune up front for the device then you just might like to consider the Pantech Burst, a budget priced LTE handset for AT&T.

According to the guys over at Engadget, the new Android smartphone from Pantech is AT&T’s answer to the Verizon Pantech Breakout when it comes to reasonable pricing; however the Pantech Burst specs does have a few different specifications.

The Pantech Burst offers a 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, 720p video capture, 2 megapixel front facing camera, 1.2GHz dual core Scorpion processor, 16GB internal storage along with microSD expansion up to 32GB and packs a 1650mAh battery.

The Pantech Burst is an Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread device, and comes preloaded with a few apps such as Amazon Kindle, Qik Lite, and AT&T U-Verse live TV, and is the first 4G LTE from Pantech in AT&T’s portfolio.

Price and availability wise the Pantech Burst will become available to purchase on the 22nd of this month in two colour options, ruby red or titanium, and command a very reasonable price tag of $50 when signing up for the usual two-year term.
