BlackBerry Bold 9790 UK pre-order: Bothered

Back in November of last year, our very own James here at Phones Review, gave you news that Canadian company Research in Motion (RIM) had officially announced two brand new phones, one being that of the BlackBerry Bold 9790.

Sporting a 2.45-inch touchscreen display, new BlackBerry OS 7, 1GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, connectivity with WiFi, 5MP camera, 8GB internal memory, NFC chip and 1230mAh battery, the new Bold 9790 is now available to pre-order within the UK with a shipping date of January 20th.

With an option of pre-ordering it as a stand-alone price or on a contract plan, the new Bold 9790 will be available from UK retailer Clove as an unlocked model for a price of £342.

However, if for you the benefits of having a contract far outweigh buying it outright, then as unwiredview.com stated, the new Bold 9790 will be available from BuyMobilePhones.net for a monthly plan starting at £20.42.

Contracts for the new BlackBerry can be had on networks such as T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange and O2.

Today we have to ask you our readers, with so many rival mobile phone handsets to choose from, will the new Bold 9790 be lost in the crowd? Are you really bothered about the new BlackBerry making its entrance here in the UK?

  1. I couldn’t wait for Orange to lunch the Blackberry Bold 9790 so i ordered a Blackberry Bold 9790 from Canada (it was branded as a WIND Blackberry, got it from kjiji) and used a service to get it unlocked with a Blackberry unlock code… it now works with my Orange sim card and can get signal with any other sim card (unlocking is making your Blackberry sim free). I’m very happy with this Blackberry.. it’s great.
