Streamed Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx marathon event: Feb 6

Back in December, our very own James here at Phones Review brought you news that Motorola were looking to bring out a new Droid RAZR phone by the name of the RAZR Maxx. Although details initially were a little vague, specs of the forthcoming handset started to filter through.

Running on Android’s 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the Maxx was announced at the recent Las Vegas CES event, in which we were told that the handset would pack an incredible 3300mAh battery giving the device at least 21 hours of battery life.

In order to demonstrate this, it looks like Motorola will be holding an event on February 6th that will be streamed, showing the new Droid Maxx officially launch with the handset put through its paces. This year many of the big named manufacturers including Samsung have promised to up their battery life on smartphones and the Maxx may be the first to pave the way for others.

The streamed event will be held over 24 hours and according to Darren Murph over at Engadget.com, the phone will be left on and used for the entire period. What was initially supposed to be a January 26th event is looking more likely to be on February 6th, so make a note on your calendar!

What are your thoughts on the new Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx? Keen to have a phone that requires little charging?

Yes I would go for 3300mAh!
But will it work on GSM?
Somebody knows if a Verizon “worldphone” works without limitations (voice/data simultaniously, UMST availability?) on a GSM netwerk?

or do we have to wait for a possible GSM version?
