New Huawei Diamond series Android 4G phones coming

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has now been and gone, and in the next few weeks we have another big event to look forward to, that of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Manufacturers will have an opportunity to show off their new and forthcoming wares, one company being that of Huawei.

Ok, so Huawei may not be one of the biggest players we tend to think of first and foremost, in reality it tends to be that of Apple, Samsung, Motorola or even HTC. At the next big event, Huawei will be launching new flagship Android smartphones with what looks to be release in Europe during the middle of March with the US following.

The ‘Diamond’ phones as they’re called will be at the higher end of the scale, following on from the ‘Ascend’ series that provide 1.5GHz dual-core processors, 4.3-inch Super Amoled displays, Android ICS 4.0 OS, 8MP camera and 1.3MP to the front, the benefit of running on AT&T and T-Mobile networks and so on.

Although details as twice.com reported are a little sparse, the new Diamonds are rumored to benefit from 4G with the possibility of a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 chip.

Let us know your thoughts on a new Huawei Diamond series of phones? Impressed with the Ascend series so far?
